博士生導師，并兼任北京計算數學學會理事長、學術期刊《 SIAM. J. Sci. Comput.》、《 Numer. Math.: Theor. Meth. Appl.》及《數值計算與計算機應用》副主編。主要從事偏微分方程自适應網格方法、計算流體、數值最優化方法等研究，主持有國家傑出青年基金，在《SIAM J. Sci. Comput.》、《SIAM J. Control Optim. 》、《J. Comput. Phys.》 等國際重要刊物發表論文60餘篇, 曾獲“全國優秀博士論文獎”、“中國高校自然科學獎一等獎”等榮譽稱号。

報告題目: Finding 13-Moment System Beyond Grad

報告摘要: In this talk, we point out that the thermodynamic equilibrium is not an interior point of the hyperbolicity region of Grad's 13-moment
system. With a compact expansion of the phase density, which is compacter than Grad's expansion, we derived a modified 13-moment system. The new 13-moment system admits the thermodynamic equilibrium as an interior point of its hyperbolicity region. We deduce a concise criterion to ensure the hyperbolicity, thus the hyperbolicity region can be quantitatively depicted.
